Create Image Only Messages
Send beautiful messages using the "image–only message" feature in Relevant Tools. Using this feature has many advantages; for example, the message will look the same on all computers so you can say exactly what you want without concern about using words that may cause spam filters to trigger. This type of message is perfect for a flyer such as a sales or event promotion when you want to catch people's attention to get them back to your website to take action.
To begin this process, click on the "Messages" icon, at the top of the screen; the "Message Functions" screen will be displayed. On the "Message Functions" screen, click on the "create a new message" link, at the top of the screen, as shown below, to display the "Create a Message" screen.
When Relevant Tools first started offering email campaign services in 2001 there were only 2 ways to create a message; now there are about 7 different ways to create a message. With that said, ignore the main area of this web page where it talks about the 2 different ways to create a message; instead click on the “image–only message” link just below the Messages title on the web page, as shown below.
Next, depending on which button is displayed, click on either the “Choose File” or “Browse” button to find the image file to upload, as shown below. Upload images should be properly sized and should typically have a width between 600 to 800 pixels and they should be either in JPG or GIF formats. Feel free to contact us know if you need help creating your images if you don't have a graphic designer to create them for you.
Next, if you like people to click anywhere on your image and be directed to your website enter the full URL of your web site page in the "Optional destination URL:" text box, as shown below.
Next, enter the name of the message in the "Message name:" text box, as shown below. This name is the name that will be used to select the message when you send it. You can change the default "From (name)" and "From (email address)" if desired. All the replies will go to the "From" email address - a valid email address is required. Enter the subject of your message in the "Subject:" This subject is the subject that people will see when they receive the message.
It is optional to enter a text version of the message. This will create a text alternative of the message. It is often a good idea to have a text alternative that is typically a short summary of the full message with your web site address and phone number.
The html is generated for you. Unless you know what you are doing, don't change the html. If you do know what you are doing you can go ahead and insert more html tags as desired.
Below is the completed message, delivered to the inbox and ready to generate lots of new business.
