Target your List with Advanced Database Search
The fast way to search your database is to just enter what you are looking for in the Quick Search box and press 'Display Data'. But you can focus your search to reach the people you want using the information in your database. You don't have to be a database wizard to use Relevant Tools online databases with advanced search.
Click on Advanced Search. First select the field that you want to search from the first pull down list of fields.

Next select that type of search you want to do. We selected 'is equals to' so that we can find all the exact matches.

Last you enter the value. In this example we are looking for all records that have California in the state field.

Here are the results of our search: all the records from the state California.

But we may want to focus the search further and target all the women in the state of California in our database. Go back to the advanced search page and add another search to the state first. In this case the database uses a checkbox field for female or male so the search will be for all records where the field female contains the value X. The contains search type is very similar to 'is equal to' but it is a little more flexible.

Here are the results of our second search: all women in our database that are from the state California.

But we can target our search even further but adding in additional search criteria such as an age range and interest.

Here are the results of our last search: Women ages 35-44 who live in California and are interested in bicycling.
